This course provides knowledge and skills in venous and capillary specimen collection, handling of specimens to OSHA regulations, and performing routine diagnostic hematology tests. At the completion of the course, students are eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Phlebotomy Technician Certification.

The program includes 4 weeks of lecture and hands-on training within the facility. We have the supplies, equipment, and instructors with excellent qualifications that will help you to become an exceptional phlebotomists. This program’s objective is to prepare the student to be able to obtain blood specimens with venipuncture techniques, capillary punctures, classify laboratory tubes, and more.

Students will perform a combination of 40 venipuncture and skin punctures.

∗ All blood draws will be performed on fellow classmates and yourself. Therefore, you must be willing to participate.

Phlebotomy classes are four weeks long that meet one day per week.

Morning, evening and weekend classes are available.
