In the Chuck Shaw Technical Educational Center phlebotomy technician program, students learn how to properly track patients and correctly use phlebotomy methods such as venipuncture, and skin puncture.

Phlebotomists are responsible for collecting blood samples in accordance with hospital and laboratory policies, and federal, state, and local regulations.
