The phlebotomy program prepares students for employment as a phlebotomist in a hospital, clinical, or independent medical laboratory.

A phlebotomist collects, processes, and distributes laboratory specimens according to established procedures for analysis.

Techniques of venipuncture for specimen collection are demonstrated and practiced in the lab to allow the student to perform these skills in a clinical setting with supervision.

Phlebotomist Program Overview

The phlebotomy training classes consists of 4 weeks of lecture and hands-on training within the facility. Convenient scheduling options are available for everyone. We offer morning, evening and weekend classes. Students attend class one day per week for four weeks.

Phlebotomy Exam Prep Classes

The program includes 4 weeks of lecture and hands-on training within the facility. We have the supplies, equipment, and instructors with excellent qualifications that will help you to become an exceptional phlebotomists. This program’s objective is to prepare the student to be able to obtain blood specimens with venipuncture techniques, capillary punctures, classify laboratory tubes, and more.

Students will perform a combination of 40 venipuncture and skin punctures.

*All blood draws will be performed on fellow classmates and yourself. Therefore, you must be willing to participate.

Phlebotomy classes are four weeks long that meet one day per week.

Morning, evening and weekend classes are available.

Morning Classes | Wednesdays Only

Classes meet once a week for 4 weeks. Classes are held on Wednesdays from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Evening Classes | Wednesdays Only

Classes meet once a week for 4 weeks. Classes are held on Wednesdays from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

Weekend Classes | Saturdays Only

Classes meet once a week for 4 weeks. Classes are held on Saturdays from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

Phlebotomy Technician National Certification Exam

After successful completion of the Phlebotomy Exam Prep course, you are eligible to register for the MedCA Certified Phlebotomy Technician National Exam. Testing is done at Caregivers Society and is a separate fee of $150. After taking the exam you will receive your results in the mail within 15 business days.
